Abstract
The unpredictable factors are the nature of the construction industry. Construction 4.0 technologies offer a wide range of alternatives to properly manage these risks during different stages of development. However, technologies are not widely utilized in construction applications. 12 limiting factors were identified from literature. Following that, a survey was conducted to evaluate the constraining elements linked to the adoption of construction 4.0 technologies, and a total of 188 valid replies were obtained from Turkish construction experts. The primary limitations impeding the use of Construction 4.0 technologies include a deficiency in technological proficiency among project participants, a preference for immediate return-on-investment, and the possible costs associated with training and guidance. The companies affiliated with the respondents were classified into two groups according to their corporate profiles. The overall ranking of constraining factors was comparable for both groups.
