Abstract
In this paper alternative circuit topologies for hybrid integrated distributed amplifiers (DA) are analyzed and compared. Improvement in the gain-bandwidth product and decrease in the gain ripple using the proposed new topology is proved. Using the proposed bonding method, a two-stage distributed amplifier has been constructed with chip transistors. The proposed topology is applicable for distributed amplifiers comprising multiple number of stages.
