Proceedings of the Seminar on Future Communications and AI in Microwave and Lightwave Systems

Abstract

The Seminar on Future Communications and AI in Microwave and Lightwave Systems was held in November 2025. This seminar was a common event organized by three institutions, BME, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, UPM, the University of Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Malaysia, Nokia Solutions and Networks Kft., Budapest, Hungary. During the seminar we listened to the presentations of speakers and PhD students from UPM, BME and Nokia. The presentations covered a wide range of topics including radio-over-fiber, satellite and radar systems, mobile communications, design, simulation and modelling of microwave and lightwave devices and sub-systems. We had interesting laboratory visits at the Space Laboratory of Budapest University of Technology and Economics and at the Telco-Cloud Laboratory of Nokia Skypark, Budapest, Hungary. In these conference proceedings we summarize the presentations of this successful event.
